Margarita Gasca Oderiz was born in Mexico City. Through her street photography she documents her vision of daily life. Photography has taught her to carefully observe urban life. She looks for spontaneous moments, authentic emotions and magic seconds that often go unnoticed and that depict the untold stories of the streets. She captures images with excitement and great passion.  

Margarita has worked as a journalist in Mexico City and Madrid, and as an international correspondent in Brussels and the US. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism (Mexico), an MA in Spanish Literature (St. Louis, MO), and a Diploma in Photography and Digital Imaging (Singapore). She currently lives in Basel (Switzerland) where she is an active member of the Street Photography Club Basel. Her work as a photographer has been presented in Paris, Singapore and Milan.
